STRAYER UNIVERSITY 2022 COMMENCEMENT
Eligibility Requirements
Associate, bachelor's, master's and JWMI graduates, and students who
are within two courses of degree completion at the time of the
ceremony, are eligible to participate in a commencement ceremony. Only
those registered for a ceremony by the deadline date noted will be
able to participate in the ceremony.
Eligible graduates
have the option to participate in a future commencement ceremony since
there isn't a time limit for when graduates walk. Eligible graduates
may also participate in both a virtual and in-person ceremony as long
as they're registered for each ceremony separately.
If
you have specific questions about commencement or your eligibility to
participate in a ceremony, please contact our
commencement team or visit the FAQs section.
The 2023 commencement schedule will be announced in January 2023.

Health & safety protocols for in-person commencement

all participants in the 2022 in-person commencement ceremony. For this
reason, we are limiting the number of graduates who attend in person.
Those registered by the deadline date noted, or once we’ve reached
graduate capacity (whichever comes first) will be included in the
in-person ceremony.
Additional requirements for graduates
and guests include:
- Each graduate will receive eight guest tickets to the ceremony. Lap children 5 & under do NOT need a ticket.
- Masks will be optional for graduates and guests in all event spaces.
Commencement ceremonies may require heightened or less
stringent COVID-19 protocols as determined by the University as well
as state and local requirements that may be in place when commencement
ceremonies are held. As we continue to monitor the public health
situation and plan for commencement, we will post updates about plans
and protocols for graduates and attendees.
