STRAYER UNIVERSITY 2024 COMMENCEMENT

Eligibility Requirements

Associate, bachelor's, master's and JWMI graduates, and students who are within two courses of degree completion at the time of the ceremony, are eligible to participate in a commencement ceremony. Only those registered for a ceremony by the deadline date noted will be able to participate in the ceremony.

Eligible graduates have the option to participate in a future commencement ceremony since there isn't a time limit for when graduates walk. Eligible graduates may also participate in both a virtual and in-person ceremony as long as they're registered for each ceremony separately.

If you have specific questions about commencement or your eligibility to participate in a ceremony, please contact our commencement team or visit the FAQs section.

The 2025 commencement schedule has not been finalized. We expect to announce the schedule and open registration in January. We will make sure to provide any updates as they are available.

Greenville Commencement

Cancelled

Greenville Commencement

Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, S.C.

Dear Graduates,

We hope this message finds you safe.

Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in Greenville, SC as well as surrounding communities, Strayer’s commencement ceremony scheduled for this Saturday, October 5, 2024, has been cancelled.

We understand this news may also be disappointing for you and your families who have been looking forward to celebrating your significant milestone. We hope that this decision will allow for students and families to focus on their safety and help us reduce our impact on regional resources as clean up continues.

Please be assured that we are actively working on potential options to reschedule the ceremony and will provide more information as soon as possible. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.

We are committed to celebrating your achievements in a manner that is both safe and memorable.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued perseverance and dedication.

If you have any questions, please contact commencement@strayer.edu.
