Strayer University Accreditation

Strayer University is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), www.msche.org. Strayer University’s accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. MSCHE most recently reaffirmed Strayer University’s accreditation status in June 2017, with the next self-study evaluation scheduled for the 2025–2026 academic year. MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

ACBSP is known for having the highest standards of excellence in accreditation. Many employers only recognize and pay for ACBSP accredited business degrees. Every business degree program and concentration in Strayer's College of Business, including the JWMI EMBA, is accredited by the ACBSP. Strayer University is an accredited SHRM Recertification provider and is recognized as a provider of choice by SHRM-certified professionals.

The National Security Agency (NSA) and a committee of academic peers designated Strayer University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) and validated the Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance (MSISA) degree program. Strayer earned this recognition by demonstrating that the MSISA program aligns closely with important cybersecurity knowledge units that have been validated by experts in the field.
